It's official!
This week I went to the courthouse and submitted the paperwork for my name change. It was a really easy process, and the people at the courthouse were very helpful.
Last weekend our Maid of Honor, Nicole, got married! Yes, she still is our MAID of honor (Who wants to be a MATRON, even if it is out of honor?). Caitlin was Nicole's Maid of Honor, which was great for its own merits, but also allowed us to get some wedding practice under our belts before our wedding (I swear we took everything seriously, Nicole).
Once upon a time, a country girl dressed as a cat, met a city boy who didn’t realize the Halloween party he was at was a costume party. (Luckily he was wearing orange pants and could kind of pass as a pumpkin?) Years later they married and moved from the big city to the burbs, where Tom was born and raised.
Sometimes Res Life does things right. My first encounter with Drew was when I received a nervous phone call. “So this is going to sound strange, but is there an E there?” Apparently Colgate University registered me as “E” when I applied as E. Thomas Oppedisano, and they only give out a phone number and first name of roommates to incoming freshmen. From there, Drew and I became roommates and stuck with each other for all 4 years of college.
