I’ve been counting down for this for a year, but still somehow I can’t believe that we’re here. I barely remember you as an infant, those days were so long ago. And these last 6 months have flown by.
You are so much fun right now. Always laughing, always moving. You’re still “talking” and mimicking us all like crazy, and have started pointing all over the place to tell us your opinions and what you’d like. You have strong feelings and get angry quick if I tell you that you can’t have my phone or something else you want.
In general though, you have a pretty great personality. Mostly giggling and laughing and just happy to be around others, there’s also a bit of a mischievous streak. We’ll watch you grab something you’re not supposed to have and suddenly book it out of the room. When you want to, you can move FAST. Giggling and looking back to see if anyone is chasing you at the same time.
Climbing stairs, chasing the kitty, occasionally climbing into our laps for a hug or a cuddle. You’re such a sweet and happy baby. You love your brother at least as much as he loves you. We’re starting to get to know you more and more, and see you for the person you are, beyond “the baby.”
Our lives are so much better than they were a year ago, and I’m not just saying that because I was in the hospital recovering from birth and simultaneously dealing with the stomach flu. You have strengthened this family, made us all happier, and brought so much joy to our lives. We love you so much! Happy ONE!
