So nine months snuck up on me, but I’ve been calling you ten months for the past few weeks. I don’t really understand why some months seem longer than others, or you seem seem to grow faster at some points and slower at others. I think because of this, it seems like you haven’t changed much this month, but you actually have!

I’m officially saying that you can pull up now. In reality you’ve maybe been able to do this for a while, but we’d never see you do it. It wasn’t consistent and you’d do it once and then not again for a few months. But in the past week or so, you’ve decided this is something you like to do. You’re doing it a bit more, and we’ve caught you doing it a few times. I have a feeling one day you’re going to decide that walking is pretty cool too…

Your relationship with your brother is so much fun to watch lately. He’s the one who can cheer you up and make you laugh the fastest. Even when you were sick this month, if he was in your face blowing raspberries, you’d laugh. He’s very protective over you, often declaring to anyone who will listen that you are “HIS BABY.” We’ve been trying to use your name more, I swear. But no matter how many times we say it, he still calls you baby. I assume it won’t be forever. (I’m sorry if it is)

You seem to love people and being in the middle of everything. You’d rather that we carry you around than put you on the ground, and most of the time just watching the action is enough. Unless the action is riding on the Cars 3 truck and then you’re all in. It’s so much fun to watch you on that mini truck while your brother rides around on his bike. Just two brothers having fun together.

I wish you could say you’re a cuddly baby who likes to snuggle, but you really aren’t. There’s too much to do, too much to see. Which is hard when you’re sick and you really don’t want to be cuddled. There’s not a whole lot we’ve found we can do to make you happy when you’re sad. You are expressive and are going to let everyone know how you feel. You can make the most judgemental faces, or your whole face will light up and your body will shake with laughs. No poker face for you.

I definitely feel like I’m still figuring you out, and if anything your personality takes after your dad more than me, but that just makes me excited to learn more about you as you grow!
