Basement: The Before Post

It's happening! Progress!

There are people working on our basement as we speak!  Which is a great surprise, since we didn't think work would start for another month, to a month and a half.  It's so much fun to come home each day and see the progress.

But before I can show you that, let's take a look at what we started with.  This picture is taken from the entrance to our basement, looking at the back left corner.

Besides being full of stuff we need to store somewhere, it's very basementy looking.  Cement walls and floor and no ceiling really, just insulation hanging down.  We're not looking for a completely finished room, just something that looks a bit more comfortable than this, and is insulated a bit better.

Here's some pictures from different angles.  The one on the left is standing in the back left corner looking toward the entrance of the basement.  The one on the right is looking towards the back right corner (with slightly less stuff in the way).

The basement is supposed to be finished soon, and I'll give a full update when it is.  Until then, here's a little sneak peak.  We have part of a ceiling! And walls!  I can't wait to show you the finished product.  Besides the fact that when the construction is done it's going to look amazing, we've bought some stuff to make it functionally our mudroom (seriously half the boxes in the first picture), which we're even more excited about.  *CAN'T*WAIT*
