This year has been… different.
I know I like to talk about how it’s a lost year, an awful year, the worst year ever.. but it’s not that simple. This year has given us a lot of great things too. (Did everyone see our local fame on The Great Christmas Light Fight??) And while yes, a lot of things aren’t how I had planned, some things actually are.
I hope everyone is having a quiet and relaxing weekend, and enjoying whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year.
Tom and I and the Bubba are home, just the three of us, building our own holiday traditions. It's amazing to witness everything through this little one's eyes, and think about the years we have ahead of us. Mornings like this.
Although maybe not everyone's favorite part of a wedding weekend, rehearsals are necessary events, especially for someone like me who needs to plan out everything. Once I've gone through how things are supposed to work, and where everyone should be, then I can relax and I actually worry less if something does go wrong.
