Of course because I mentioned how much I loved your gummy smile last month, you immediately popped out two bottom teeth - officially becoming the youngest child in this family to get a tooth! Maybe that’s what was messing with your sleep last month? It’s definitely gotten better - you still hate being put to bed, but then you fall asleep quickly and are back to sleeping through the night.

This month you have definitely decided what you want, and anytime you don’t get it you start immediately crying, fold in half, and put your forehead on the ground until someone comes to comfort you. Specifically you want to be held, but doing something interesting, or you want to be down on the ground playing, but with me or Tom less than 3 inches away.

You’re doing slightly better with strangers, but mostly you just want to be with us and silently stare at them. It’s only when we’re home that your loud and funny personality comes out. You love to sneak up on someone (especially G) and poke them until they notice you. And then you’ll just give them big wet kisses.

You are super interested in your sibling’s toys, exploring, and getting into everything. Although I often joke you are G’s twin, I have found something you are are different on. While he doesn’t like to do anything unless he knows he’s good at it, we’ve gotten to watch you practice, fail, and practice some more in real time when it comes to walking. A few steps, and then nothing. A week later a few more steps. Lots of falling, and eventually progress. No words yet, but you are signing “all done” and are so excited when we understand.

Perhaps the biggest news of this month, though, is that you got your first two Covid vaccines! Now if that’s not a milestone of a pandemic baby, I don’t know what is!
