I'm not sure anything has stressed me out as much as picking a reception location. (Okay I'm lying, the guest list was probably worse haha). But still, finding a location that worked for us was hard. Our list of requirements was long, and unrealistic. We wanted something within walking distance to our beloved church. We wanted something cheap. We wanted something far away from where I work and spend every day (Okay that's something I wanted). We wanted something that wasn't cookie cutter. We wanted something that had space for fun & games, but wasn't so big that it would ruin the small and intimate feeling we were going for.

Then one night after declaring that I was quitting wedding planning forever and we'd just have to elope, and it was taking two of my bridesmaids to talk me down (Thanks girls!), Linzy found a post on a message board that made me revisit a place I had previously crossed off our list. Grudgingly I decided to check it out, and dragged my maid of honor along with us. I was having a hard time getting over how close it was to my office (about 35 floors away).
However, once we got up there and saw the space, we all realized it was perfect. Besides having amazing views, it was so Boston, and so us. Tom and I agreed to sleep on it, and the next morning we both still felt great about it, so we put down our deposit! We've officially booked our reception space!!
We'll be celebrating at the Skywalk!! For those of you who aren't familiar with Boston, the Skywalk is the 360 degree observatory on the 50th floor of the Prudential Tower, and the tallest observation deck in New England. We'll be in the NW corner of the floor, giving us views of the Charles River, Fenway Park, Northeastern University and the sunset. (Unless of course it's raining or foggy, in which case let's hope the food is good!)
