We The People
I'm not going to lie, I've questioned whether this is the greatest time to bring a child into the world. Our political climate scares me, and it makes me scared for our future children. What type of world will they grow up in? How will I teach tolerance and love and equality when the leader of our country preaches the opposite?
Or maybe it's more urgent than ever to raise children to be fighters and defenders of liberty. It's not a responsibility I take lightly, and I'm sure it's something that's going to keep me up at night for years to come. Are we raising a Trump or a Sanders? A Warren or a Palin?
It's such a daunting task, so I'm going to start small. With children's books and artwork. Ensuring that this tiny, innocent, future voter is surrounded with messages of encouragement and hope. And we'll build from there.
It's a start.
